DANAO – The Danao Eco-Park Adventure, now becoming a tourist come-on for an alternative extreme adventure, is the recipient of PhP600,000.00 fund assistance courtesy of the Provincial Government of Bohol as seed money for the construction of an eco-lodge to house the growing visitors here.

Vice-Gov. Julius Caesar Herrera, acting governor while Gov. Erico Aumentado is still abroad, bared this after he handed over the check of P600,000.00 to Mayor Louis Thomas Gonzaga during the formal launching the park.

Herrera, who is one of the invited guests of the grand even along with Tourism Sec. Ace Durano, said that the money will boost the quest of Danao people to become a tourist destination in this part of the province.

Durano and Herrera and Gonzaga along with Cong. Edgar Chatto and other officials laid down the capsule signaling the construction of the said Eco-lodge to accommodate more and more domestic and foreign tourists.

The laying of the capsule of the building to be erected within the Francisco Dagohoy Memorial Park in barangay Magtangtang here coincided with the 48th foundation day celebration of the town, said Herrera.

Aside from this, the acting governor said, his office also allotted and distributed fund assistance in the amount of P15,000 for each barangay for various development projects.

Herrera, in his speech before a throng of Danao people attending the celebration, expressed appreciation to the dynamic leadership of Gonzaga for coming up of the eco-lodge project to augment the need for accommodation.

Gonzaga and Vice-Mayor Jose Cepedoza and information-tourism officer Loinda Saluan welcomed the guests and viusitors even as Board Member Ma. Fe C. Lejos and Makati city councilor Armand Padilla with his better-half graced the affair and the eco-park launching. (RVO)
