Agrarian Scholars Graduation 2007

Bilar, Bohol - Twenty three sons and daughters of the agrarian reform beneficiaries chosen as scholars of the Department of Agrarian Reform under the President Diosdado Macapagal Agrarian Scholarship Program (DAR-PDMASP) were confirmed graduate from their college education by Dr. Louis T. Palapar, Ph.D during the 9th Commencement Exercises of the Central Visayas State College of Agriculture, Forestry and Technology (CVSCAFT), Bilar Campus, in Bilar town, this province.

Seven graduated from Bachelor in Agricultural Technology (BAT), namely: Shem Abrau, Ariel, Anub, Roy Avenido, Celsa Genosas, Marissa Ganados, Maria Cecilia Soriano and Alma Tajale; Six from Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSA), namely: Leonard Bongola, Narciso Husay, Maricel Calacat, Jonas Luega, Evelyn Mutia and Jovelita Rulida; Six from Bachelor in Elementary Education, namely: Mariamme Autida, Anabel Cubio, Clarissa Cutillas, Argie Hamo, Rosamie Orapa Daguplo and Madronero Benis; Three from Bachelor in Secondary Education (BSE), namely: Florian Marcelino, Myra Aninipot and Maria Melba Genson and One from Bachelor of Science in Forestry (BSF), namely: Ma. Liza Marie Batilong.

There were some DAR scholars who received exemplary awards, namely: Annabel Cubio as the Best in Research Paper and Leadership Award and Florian Marcelino as the Student Teacher of the Year. However, all of the above-mentioned scholars got their Certificate of Appreciation signed by Atty. Araceli B. Adolfo, the PDMASP Region 7 Coordinator as handed by Paulino R. Tudlasan, Jr, of DAR region 7 who represented Regional Director Datur Yusoph B. Mama.

The guest speaker, Nida G. Butron, 2006 Agriculture Board Topnotcher challenged the graduates to place themselves ahead of the others and to believe in their capabilities in order to be globally competitive so that each of the new graduates can be contributory to the economic restoration of the nation.

Before the activity has ended, Beverly Cubio, a mother of a PDMASP scholar expressed her gratitude to the institution and DAR in particular for extending financial support for the education of her daughter.
