Retired public school teacher Esit Olaso passes away at 73

Retired public school teacher Teresita “Esit” Cellacay Olaso, of Tabajan, Guindulman, Bohol had returned to her Creator Friday morning, March 2, 2012 after she succumbed to heart failure at the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital, Tagbilaran City. She is survived by her only son Jonas, elder sister Ponciana “Conching” Cellacay Japson and brother Anacleto “Kid” Cellacay.

After retirement, she had a lingering bout with a chronic asthma and was in and out of the hospital. She is fondly remembered by her students as “Mam Esit” and by co-teachers as an amiable and understanding person.

In college she finished her diploma in Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education as Magna Cum Laude at the University of Bohol (formerly Rafael Palma College).

Her remains lay at her residence in Tabajan, Guindulman and the internment day will be announced later.
